New Sketch 27th October

Hi again, the weeks are just rolling by, and we have another great sketch by Cheri! Its a great Layout to include a CD, if you have one of all the extra photos you might have to do with your layout! There are some very clever ideas done by the girls, over at "Let's Scrap" , and Oh my gosh, some of the layouts are beautiful. Vishani's layout of her daughters Prom, is beautiful!

Here is my layout, of my darling Miss Hannah, on one of her visits, sigh, i know, again!!! ROFL, but she is a little beauty!!

In this one i used some leftovers from all bits and pieces, some yummy BoBunny Calypso (not much, but its there!) and of course my Prima flowers. The title is cut out on the Cricut using "Heartbreaker" font.

How about winning some prizes???? This week's sponsor is:

A big thankyou to Cheri, for selecting me to continue to be part of the Design Team for "Let's Scrap".

This week's challenge is a card sketch by the fabulous Kimmy. I have just received my new Stampin Up embossing folder "Elegant Lines", and some yummy new turquoise cardstock, and i just had to play with them and Kimmy's sketch seemed perfect.

The chocolate and turquoise are so yummy together. The stamps I used are Stampin' Up Stem Silhouettes, and Dark Room Door Wildflowers Vol 2.

15th October ScrapAwhile Challenge

Well it is Kim J's turn to set the challenge over at ScrapAwhile , and her criteria for this challenge is

1 A handmade embellishment
2 Use 4 photos
3 Use some sort of journalling on your layout

I came up with this one, have had the paper for awhile, and it is some of that paper you buy, you really like, but just dont know how to use it!!!! You know what i mean!! lol.

Anyway, came across some of Bec's 5th Birthday photos, so used them. She actually had 2 cakes that year, cause her cousins came over for a visit, so we had one with them, and another on the day!

My handmade item is the flower, ( i made for the tutorial) been wanting to use it!

I do really need to buy some more letters for titles!!!

So get busy and jump over to ScrapAwhile and join in the fun!!!

This layout was done using a sketch from Anna's Craft Cupboard October Sketch Challenge, designed by the talented Wendy.

New Sketch

Wow, the weeks are going fast! Another brilliant sketch from Cheri over at Let's Scrap. Ilovethis one, you get to use lots of photos, and it is nice and simple. Again i used my favourite subject Hannah in this layout. We were playing outside in the clover, which was so long, lucious and green. Hannah had a ball. I just held the camera, without aiming and just clicked away. Don't you just love digital cameras for that!!!

This weeks sponsor of the challenge is "Studio Calico" A big thankyou to them!

HERE IS A LITTLE ABOUT THEM:
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.

In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

We hope you will continue to grow with us at Studio Calico. Who knows what's next!

Committed to inspiring creativity, Studio Calico features the work of noteworthy designers, provides online support and encouragement, and offers products that are both fun and innovative. We are dedicated to design and an old-fashioned commitment to customer care.

Each month, Studio Calico combines the latest scrapbooking products with unique finds from a variety of sources while staying true to the basics. You'll find kits filled with products from a variety of manufacturers, coordinated for ease-of-use by both the advanced and novice scrapbooker.

6-10-10 Challenge at Let's Scrap

This week's sketch at Let's Scrap is a great one for using up heaps of photos. Sometimes it is hard to get all those photos on to one layout.

This is mine. I used some beautiful SEI paper, and made a border using my Fiskars punch, and of course some yummy Prima flowers.
This was a day i was looking after Hannah, and Bradley was at home. Well she absolutely loves him, and all you heard was "Lets Play Bradee". He kept her amused all day. Boy was she tired.

Update on Bailey

Well a few of you know my little sweetie got home on Saturday! But don't start cheering yet, poor little guy ended up back at the Mater Hospital Saturday night. Yep, was actually at home a whole 15mins before he had a little seizure, so the kids did everything they were taught, called the Ambos and hospital. Ambos arrived and told them they had done everything right, but took him to the Beaudesert Hospital just in case. He was doing ok, but unfortunately he had another seizure so the Mater decided he should go back there. SIGH!!!!! So long story short, he is still there, they are working out medication levels (or something). Hopefully he will be home soon.
He is doing well otherwise, little nugget is growing like a weed. He is just under 7 kilos now! A big difference to the 700grams born. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Will keep you posted!

Let's Scrap Challenge 29-9-10

Another Week at Let's Scrap, and a fabulous sketch to try. Cheri has come up with another brilliant inspiration.

Here is my take on it. Don't know if you can see it, but i actually used the sewing machine and stitched the circle around the photo on the first page. I know, shocked arent you!! This is using those love Imaginisce papers "Lucy Bird", and the material flowers are "Lucy Bird" too. The paper flowers are cut from some paper i had left over from another layout. The rub-on is a "Scrapbook King" one.
