New Challenge

This week we have a card sketch as the challenge at "Let's Scrap" Its a fantastic, very versatile sketch. You should see some of the creations already.

This weeks challenge is sponsored by "Visual Designs by Chris" A big thank you to her for this.

Visual Designs by Chris is a online store with a very active forum. She and several other designers create for all types of digital cutter machines. You can find a large variety of titles and die cuts in the store.

Chris is giving away 2 Memberships her Quarterly membership club (QMC) Each Membership is worth $10. (She is also willing to send out a paper prize to anyone who does not own a digital cutter)

Here is a little something about them:
A little bit about me in regards to Visual Designs by Chris..
I have worked in the printing industry since 1992. Starting out at the front desk and working my way into the graphic design position and then managing the shop and
overseeing the employees for both shops.
In 2000, I decided to go out on my way and started a company called Visual Design Services. I work with a limited clientele in order to keep my customer service at a high standard. I create the graphics needed for printed materials and also Graphics for their web based campaigns.
In 2004, I decided to venture into working on the files for scrapbooking digitally and also cutter files (gsd). I now have broadened Visual Design Services. In 2007, I became an
exclusive designer of Cutter files for Paperthreads. Cutter files are for personal cutters, i.e. the Klic-n-Kut, Craft Robo, Wishblade & Silhouette. And in 2008, I decided to leave Paperthreads to venture out on my own and spread my wings. My goal is to offer a place for others to
visit, shop and enjoy! I enjoy the creativity and the path my life has taken. I, also, enjoy working with my husband in our Information Technologies (IT) business. It is a growing and expanding
business serving Arizona. I look forward to everyday and where it will lead.I hope you visit us in the forum where we chat all day long and have a great time!

This is using the Kaisercraft paper, was going to try for the second page, buy no more of the paper.

August 15th Challenge

above - Kerry's Layout
above - my layout

This week's challenge at ScrapAwhile, is to scraplift a stunning layout by the talented Kerry Murray. Kerry's work is very inspiring. Her blog can be located at

Thanks to Kerry for allowing us to use her layout.

My layout is using one piece of paper, from Best Creation Inc. (GP293) I used both sides, then cut the flowers and birds out for embellishments. Do you know how hard that was, cause it is so beautiful with all that glitter etc. lol. I used my Prima flowers, and thickers for the title. I just coloured white letters to match the layout! The journal card is cut using a Stampin Up Die.

So come over and join in and have some fun.

Well after 7 months (well 1 week short of 7 months) Bailey is finally home! This was taken just after he finished his first feed at home! Isn't he wonderful! In all the excitement i forgot to find out how heavy he was when he left the hospital. (stay tuned for that information. lol) So now i get to have lots of Nana cuddles and i can talk goo goo to him, and no-one will look at me as if i am strange! Oh well, except for Hannah!
